Default Throttle Response

Hello Fellas,
i just installed a cherry bomb extreme muffler on my 2013 1500...wondering if that is what is maybe causing a delay in throttle response roughly around 35-45MPH, not sure if its just my imagination or maybe the different tone with the new muffler or if it really did make my throttle respons worse, would a throttle body spacer help this? or maybe a bigger throttle body? and how much of a gain do u really get from a spacer or a new throttle body?

Thanks guys
Ryan

From a spacer nothing unless you are going to port it for n2o. Adding a CAI such as a Vararam would help with your get up and go and maybe improve the throttle response a little. However for the best improvement on throttle response you are going to want an 87mm ported throttle body, we can get one of these out to you for $379.99, and if you pair it with a tuner (currently Bully Dog 40430 is available for 2013's, and Diablo Sport is approximating 30 days out on their tune) we can work an even sweeter deal for you, or if you wanted to pair an 87mm TB and a Vararam we could get you a wicked deal too.

Just need the TB that is ok to email us at sales@bullysperformance.com and we will get you special Z pricing.

Thanks
Jeremiah

Get a Diablo tuner. It has a setting called throttle boost. You can go from 0 to 20%. I tried !5% and it was too sensitive for me. 10% works great. I'm stock except for a Flowmaster and the tuner. The throttle response this thing gives you is nice.

To answer your question no I doubt it is the muffler. It is most likely the quick transition from 4 to 8 cylinders you are experiencing.

MDS likes to kick on a lot down at those speeds during light driving.

What do you mean light? The ECO light will still come on even with the MDS off

No there is not a specific light that will tell you when MDS is on or off.
