Hello 82corvette! It appears that you have not posted on our forums in a week, why not take a few moments to ask a question, help provide a solution or just engage in a conversation with another member in any one of our forums? I received this when I opened the forum so I thought I better post. I was busy driving 1000 miles this week & getting 16.9mpg so I couldn't post. Geez my old 94 K1500 Chevy ext cab I bought new still does 18mpg, what gives?
It's called, "Computer controlled, emission/pollution controlled devices". Why else would they put military encrypted codes on a vehicles ECU? Back in 1994, gas was only what? A buck 25? And it didn't have this corn crap in it either.
Not sure where Alaska came into this, but he seems to be out of Nebraska. I.E. much flatter, lower altitude and boring in general. Nothing personal... but let’s face it, NE is only a couple of trees better than KS... just sayin’.
And in due course with a screen name like '82corvette, I’m thinking a little less right foot and coasting longer before stopping will do wonders!
I only run no corn fuel on both trucks, the old 94 is 350 TBI & 4 speed auto with 3:73 gears & 265 16 tires. It still pulls down 18 mpg on the highway. Never been to Alaska so I have no idea what it's like. My 94 definately does not have the power my hemi does, but my Vette does!
