Default Various electrical issues

Have a 94 1500 with 5.9 engine. Had issues with PDC ign fuse 40 amp kept popping so went up to 60 amp I know not good but now have 2 things abs/airbag lights on with no fan or power windows and had no headlights but found out that the plug in the back has melted so will replace that jiggled the bundle under the steering column and abs light glowed dimmer/brighter so think there might be issues with wiring at ign switch. Am I on right track ? Any help is appreciated

You burned a bunch wires. Gonna have to go through and look for toasted copper. Then find where the short to ground was. The fuse at 40 amps was burning to protect those wires. lesson learned the hard way.
