Default Flex test of Ram vs. Ford big boys

You will like this three way test of Ram vs. Ford, vs. Tchevy
This is an example of the usual GM slight of hand and trickery. Fun to watch the magicians at work.

Every company does it.. Say they got a "neutral" company come in to do testing . A tug test is just a test of who has better tires.. Especially when the chev has 2 more.

The reason they didn't use the dodge in the flex test is the suspension would articulate like the ford and the tailgate would open like the Chevy. I do it all the time when I back to my front door to unload the bed.
Mick
P.s. there are rollers on the top of the ramp causing the front wheels of the 4wd trucks to lose traction on the front wheels causing them not to be able to climb the ramp. You can hear them spinning.

It's all the same now... Lets run all of the different trucks and somehow magically ours just destroy them.. Like idk.. i personally find that dodge has the best engine with the Cummins. GM has the best tranny with the allision. And sadly Ford probably has the best rear end. Body all comes down to personal preference.. All depends what someone wants out of their truck.

You need to use the rear wheel drive because the weight transfer is mostly on the rearend going up that ramp. It looks to me rear wheel drive was somehow disengaged on the Ford and Dodge. This isn't trickery, it's false advertisement. Everyone does their share of false advertising, Chrysler is just as guilty misleading everyone into thinking the 2011 65RFE was a new six speed transmission. They are well aware of everyones dislike for the 545RFE gear ratios so yes, they delibertly lied to the customers. People still buy these funky 545RFE builds so it's prolly going to be a while before we see the 66RFE go into the Hemi Ram 1500 model. Don't under estimate the 66RFE either, it could be stronger than the 8 speed.

I would have loved to put my Ram on the diff test and the flex test! I have had the Ram lift a tire and continued to move unlike the one in the video.

Its hard to see in the pic but the rear tire is several inches off the ground and the cab and bed are only slightly tweaked...about the same as the Chevy in the video.

Look at that rear tire tuck!

Next time you have her sitting with one leg in the air see if the tailgate will open.

I think they had a reason not to include the Ram on the frame twister. I didn't use arrows but look at the body lines to see that it has very little flex. Also I'm not defending Ford but another BS thing about the vid is that on the frame twister challenge don't you find it odd that the Ford walked right up the ramp and lifted the rear tire without spinning but failed in the diff test?

Sweet truck and thanks for the vid. It just proves that the Ram articulates like the ford and can still be loaded like the Chevy. And yes its crap how the ford had no issue climbing the second ramp just like its crap that Chevy thinks its better for the truck to raise the rear wheel that far in the air instead of attempting to keep contact with the ground.
Ram wins hands down.
