Default amp running boards

hi, looking at amp running boards, I was ready to pull the trigger when I started to see ever so many trucks on parking lots with one step down. not sure what brands of boards these are but I am looking for some feedback on the quality of these motor driven boards especially in harsh weather climates with lots of snow, slush and road salt. thanks 4sport

thanks grubrunner, but I have not been able to find anything pro or con on the motor reliability or harsh weather concerns for the amp boards.

Well, I really don't know what the Ram guys here think of the AMP boards as I haven't really read anything that's sunken in.

However the F150 guys on another board I was active on for many years think they're not very reliable, a PITA to install with poor instructions, longevity is issue bound and, most important to me, mediocre customer service from AMP. I was interested many years ago when I had my 05' Screw Ford; but that last bit from the previous sentence put a sudden halt to my thoughts.

For every two postive feedbacks I've read on AMP boards, I've read at least QUADRUPLE that in the negative catagory.

Just calling it the way I see it.

Hoping you get some feedback from real-world users.

i thought about them, but i see this as over complicating what should be a simple step.

i just had them installed on my truck not too long back. this is second truck ive had them. they are well worth the money IMO, as long as you buy the AMP steps and not the copy cat Bestop ones.
the Bestop brand will fall apart in no time. my grandpa put them on his truck and in less than 3 months went through 3 motors and twice they ripped out of the mounting locations.

no problems with anybody i know using the AMP steps. my last truck i had through 2 winters and only froze up once on me. but that was with driving through a foot of unplowed snow for 3 hours. once i kicked all the ice off them they worked fine again.
