Default gas pedal vibration

On my 1500 I had a slight vibration in my gas pedal and have taken it in a few times to the dealer. The truck has 8500 miles on it and right before I took it in the last time I noticed that the tires were starting to cup. I brought this to their attention and they put it up on the rack and inspected everything. They also completed an alignment and said the castor and toe were slightly out. They then replaced the two front tires( Thank goodness after only 8500 miles). As I was driving it home I noticed once again a slight vibration in the gas pedal. this would only happened with the road being rough or cracked, (if that makes sense). Has anyone else had this issue? Getting very frustrated.

Could it possibly be the combination of rough roads and your MDS kicking in and out? Just throwin it out there.

Wink

I'll bet it's the modular systems they run in these & other modern vehicles. The gas pedal I believe is its own unit that has a harness that plugs into it to function the throttle body via drive by wire. It snaps or bolts to the floor & is most likely a plastic bracket thats not all that rigid. Its like a huge ps3 controller if you will. I sometimes get it & sometimes a slight vibration in the brake pedal after I hit a bump & get a slight jar. But w/ all the corks these trucks seem to have I had forgotten about that one till now.

I haven't crawled under to see how the pedal assembly is mounted but if it's metal to metal or plastic housing, that would explain road, engine, frame, and or pedal vibration/resonance transferring to your foot. Maybe a well positioned, vibration foam dampener or silicone/rubber washers so as to not affect safety. But I didn't suggest that. Just theoretically speaking.

+ 2. The MDS is worthless. I'd sure like to be able to turn it off ... Permanently!

Either put it in manual mode, tow haul mode, or buy a tuner. 3 options. I use option 1 everywhere except the highway.
