Did 5% all the way around here but mine is only a single cab. They don't enforce tint laws here in Tennessee. Even the cops have 5%. As for glass and sensors, i haven't ever heard of such. lol

Yeah I haven't heard of sensors or anything like that, but I went and got my quad cab tinted, just the front two windows to match the back. 20% and it looks good, no problems from the law yet although im moving to CA soon and am sure I'll get trouble there.

There is sensor for the auto dimming high breams (if equip) It's on the front of the rear view mirror. Facing out the windshield.

I did 20% on fronts, and 35% over factory to achieve a great match.

Got my fronts done 20%. No issues with any sensors. Btw, never been pulled over SPECIFICALLY for tints, but once they get me for speeding or staying in the left for too long, they like to mention it. Never been ticketed, just warned about them.

Yes this is true. Many tints use metallics as UV and IR blockers (some "house" brands, and many quality brands [Solar Guard?] for example). This can interfere with GPS, sattelite, and cell phone performance.

Therefore it may be best to choose a tint that does not use these metallics (3m for example). There are many of each kind on the market.

If you search this forum you will see this was an issue with laminated glass used on a specific models a few years ago. Like anything, the actual truth has turned into something else over the years.

If you see something similar to this on your side glass, then I would research the appropriate tint for it, otherwise, have at it!

Never heard that before, and personally I am surprised to hear that there would be such a large amount of metallic's that it would actually screw up GPS's and the like.

You learn something new every day.

GPS/satellite is dependent on an externally mounted antenna. It has nothing to do with your vehicle's glass or what's on it.

Today's crop of cell phones have next to zero performance [reception] issues due to window tint. As little as ten years ago, was a different story.
