Default Checked Cabin Air Filter

Its been 8 months-ish, couldn't stand it anymore, pulled cabin air filter out for first time. More dirt than I expected simply because I don't drive in dusty conditions. Will buy a couple Monday. I can see why interior gets dusty without one. Should have been factory installed instead of me installed.

Could you blow it out with an air-compressor to get more life, or is the filter now a lost cause?

I actually did that, but was thinking of the stuff I couldn't see/get out. For $8 or so, I'll just put a new one in. I put blower speed on 3rd setting and slid filter in and out, you could tell a little difference.

Bought Car Quest 90179C for $13.91. Has thicker pleats than the NAPA 4578. Both have carbon in them. If WIX makes both, then they must have improved on them from last year because of the thicker pleats, or somebody else is making them for Car Quest now.
Car Quest #90179C
Napa #4578

Funny story..
Had an oil change and tire rotation at my local dealership today. Afterward, along with my receipt, I received a print out of their 10-point inspection. All items were marked in the green (passed) except for one.. cabin air filter. They marked it N/A. I told them that that is actually not true and my Ram has one. She blinked at me and verified that I did bring my Ram in. LOL. I explained to her the process and how OEM Mopar parts (the door) is used and she was dumbfounded... soon enough I was explaining the mod to a few others in the service department. Quite a few of them own Rams and vowed they would look into this. I shared the link from Geno's Garage from my phone and told them all about the Z. Always a good day when you can educate your mechanics (which doesn't happen to me often, lol).
