Default EcoDiesel goes to the drag strip

Hi guys,

Truck is a 2014 EcoDiesel, 4x4, crew cab, tradesman model. 3.55 gears, 1400 miles on it, 1/2 tank of fuel.

Made 6 passes, the first few I actually had to play with it to leave without spinning, surprised me a little bit. Best pass of the night was a 16.391@82.89 miles an hour, 2.36 60'. Not a lot out there about EcoDiesel times, but it was fun. Here's my best time slip and video of the run:

This is a link to the youtube video, I can't seem to be able to embed it here.

Consider your truck "only has 240 HP" I would say you did good! 420lbs of torque can make for a hard launch...lol

I don't think its too bad at all! With just a few mods it could probably get into the high 15s... not sure how many mods are available for it though.

Launch in 4WD to get rid of the tire spin then switch back to 2WD as soon as the truck shifts into 2nd gear. That is the method I used to get my best 1/4 mile times on my truck.

I think that's a pretty good time! An old buddies 94 351 powered Ford Lightning ran 15.80's at about 88mph when brand new at Alamo Drag way in San Antonio. Your 1500 is about as heavy as you can get, very impressive!

Pretty sure water methanol injection, propane and nitrous would surprise some of the big boys. Need a pyrometer though. I also believe a good water/meth system would give some more mpgs, same with propane.
