Default Ram 1500 exhaust

I would like to put a new muffler on my 12 1500 looking at flow master or magnaflow. I want to keep the factory duals just change the muffler and possibly take off resonators. I was thinking flow master only to keep some back pressure or will I have no issues with with either? Also any preferences on either, looking for something with some bark when I want it to but tolerable on the highway cruising. I read magnaflow doesn't have the drone that flomaster does any truth to that?
Thanks

Just installed a magnaflow 18" muffler on mine last week.. perfect for me. nice rumble, but not obnoxiously loud. drones a little when you're foot is in it a bit and it's hovering around 1800 rpm, say, climbing a long hill for example... but other than that, no drone at all.

I tried Flowmaster one time and will never use Flowmaster again.

This is my maiden Magnaflow, and it will probably not be my last. I do have the complete CB though.

Good luck.

Another question while you are all responding. Is there any reason I wouldn't just replace the y pipe while I'm changing the muffler? What are the advantages of changing it?

I put a FM 40 series on my 1500 and the drone was obnoxious so I had it changed out with a 50 series and the drone all but vanished and I love the results.
This is my 4th truck to use flowmaster on and I've always been pleased with them.
I've never tried Magnaflow before but have only heard good things.

I have a Mufflex system on mine. They use Magnaflow mufflers. I went with the 24" muffler because I hate the drone I've had before with louder systems.
