Default reverse tilt mirror settings

I love the tilt mirror function, however one thing is plaguing me. with my last truck you adjusted the mirror position while in reverse, and it stored that position and returned to it when in reverse.

However, with the ram, it always returns to it's preset position, which is not optimal for me. Haven't found anything in the manual regarding setting it either. perhaps I need to be adjusting it and saving it with the seat memory?

If you get that to work let me know. I have yet to find away to select a custom setting.

Mine don't tilt at all. Is it a setting somewhere or not available on sport?

Go to driver asst. screen in 8.4 screen in settings. There is a box to check for this option.

Same here, drivers mirror tilts all the way down, passenger mirror 1/2 tilt no way to change it. Can't save in settings 1 or 2 as vehicle doesn't want to save in reverse. Maybe RAM thinks it is right hand drive? The passenger mirror should tilt all the way down to see the curb. Dealers problem at first service along with "memory system unavailable vehicle not in park" constantly flashing up....

Yes I wish you could adjust them and they would stay, I think they are defaulted so you can see the tires. I too have been having the memory system unavailable vehicle not in park message after the recent bcm flash, dealer reflashed my truck and hasn't popped back up yet hope it doesn't. One back

my '10 and '12 you couldnt save either, was hoping they changed it for '13 but its still the same and you cant adjust where the revere tilt ends up.

I only really used it when backing my trailer in the driveway, so I just turned the reverse tilt off and used the the #2 memory to adjust the mirrors, that way the mirror woudnt keep going back and forth when backing and pulling forward the trailer.

Grrrr... figured it might be a fixed position thing.

Oh well, the mirror position has to be hard coded in a memory block somewhere in the program. Perhaps I should blow a ton of money and find a programmer who can hack the code and change it to remember last set position. Selling the code might prove somewhat lucrative.

I am pretty sure that is just an enable or disable setting.

I thought this was an option on certain trims only and not on Sports. On my 8.4a the only thing under driver assist is Hill Assist

Edit: I guess it only comes with the memory seats?
