Default Supercharging on stock motor

I'm not expecting crazy gains, and eventually plan to build a low compression motor with a high boost, but for the time being if I were to get a supercharger running low boost I think it would be safe on the stock engine? Anyone taken that route? I could spend the money on it in a little bit. Don't wanna build a forged motor and then not have money for the supercharger and drive around with a low compression non supercharged motor lol anyways, opinions?

Something like this comes to mind.

Just start buying up parts and when your ready build it. That or buy a junkyard engine and build it slowly. Why put wear and tear on your supercharger and not enjoy it?

I did this with a daytona turbo. I "never got around" to building the engine right. I did how ever get good at changing head gaskets.

Lmfao that's awesome. I will see what happens. I've rear a lot about people doing it on the stock motor and it being okay. I will def get around to building my motor internally. I know our trannys don't like em :-\

I would worry more about the tranny than the motor on low boost.

That woman looks like a tranny.

You're safe up to 8psi with a good tune on a stock hemi.

You can easily throw a supercharger on a stock engine, just keep it around 6-7psi and you'll see gains in the 45-50% range. The trans will hold for a good while at those power levels, any more and then you start the fuse on a time bomb.

I wouldn't do it. You'll make too much power, develop traction problems and want to drive too fast. But if you decide to do it I wouldn't go too low with the c/r or it'll be a dog when not in boost....9.5-10.0 range. BTW I've been running 9 psi for about 1 year now with a nice meth shot kicking in at 3 psi to cool it down. No problems at all but then again it's an L&M Customs creation so it goes without saying.

Glad you did not get pissed off about the pic. You should see the one I sent my Dodge parts man for punishment for getting me the wrong core support today. Eye torture.
