Having dropped my fuel tank 3 times in the last 2 weeks, I can tell you it's a simple procedure. 3 electrical connectors, 2 vent lines, 1 fill line. The only annoying one is the tank fill tube, mine always has troubles coming off.

Which fuel pumps are those ones? the A1000? or did you go with just an auxiliary pump?

Thanks Kurtis, good to know

the pump is an Aeromotive 340 Stealth,
same replacement main pump MGH used in his and Gabe's Turbo builds.

Should be a simple remove and replace......

Nice! Question: (sorry if it's a dumb one) what's the difference between going this route vs. an MSD Boost-a-Pump app? I'm on a Ripp S/C too and when I dyno'd the truck the operator told me the same thing, "maxed out the stock fuel pump". Will it require additional tuning or is it as easy as plug and play? Thanks in advance!
Although I have very limited time to post, this forum has been the number 1 motivator/inspiration for my build. Thanks again!

Boosta Pump is almost twice as much $$$ and only increases voltage from what limited reading I did.

Our CMR recommended the Aeromotive 340 over a Boosta Pump
and uses it on most of his builds over 450hp

The only downside to the fuel pump upgrade is gaining access to the pump inside the tank.

You have to pullout the stock pump assembly, looks just like this:

Swap the stealth in place of the stocker, solder a couple wires and heat shrink them, then re-install the assembly.

For a Reg Cab its easier to raise the bed to gain access,
But on a quad or crew cab, so much of the tank is under the cab
its better to just drop the tank, which can be a bitch if its the larger tank.

Still haven't done mine yet

LOL! Thank you for the reply. Any idea if it requires additional tuning after the installation or is the tune incl with the S/C good?

Not sure, but I don't think additional tuning is required

I'm still waiting for my revised tune from MGH with my WOT and part throttle injector slope corrections
He had a Ripp'd Ram on the Dyno Tuesday (with a Stealth 340 installed)

He needs to mod my tune now and add his trans tuning before he emails it back to me.

Last week he had a different Ripp Ram on the rollers with Josh at HHP
and he ran out of fuel at the top end too and couldn't finish the WOT injector slopes.

He figured it may need larger injectors or a pump upgrade,
Tuesday's run was supposed to answer those questions but I haven't heard yet.

He's working pretty closely with Ripp to get their tuning tweaked for all Ripp owners.
Many are actually running rich at WOT below 5600 rpm. (in the 10's a/f ratio)

I have been keeping my rev's/shift points at stock 5600 or lower
as soon as you go over 5800 it will lean out from the stock pump being maxed out.

Water/Meth helps, but I don't want to have to rely on that.

No additional tuning is required with just a pump upgrade, though I highly recommend picking up a fuel pressure regulator.

almost forgot...My tuner also said bump the size of your fuel pump fuse by +10amps too.

Got it! Thx Cdnoil! Do you know what a tune will cost from MGH BlackRam? Are you guys still on a stock transmission (I am)? Reason I ask is I have the newer (watered down, for our protection) tune. 6 PSI I believe.

No idea, shoot him a PM I guess?
Perhaps because he's partnered with Ripp everyone will get a revised tune update for free?

Brad (MGRAM) my track buddy, and Kurtis (CdnoilRam)
and I all bought built Transmissions from MGH (L&M Customs).
So engine and trans tuning is generously included and part of his build price for Brad and I ($2500)
CdnoilRam went with a ProCharger so he's getting Josh at HHP to tune his, no idea what the charge is though.

Nervous as heck still running my stocker for almost two months now.
Brad's been running his since early May.

We hope to install the L&M transmissions within the next week.
