Default Copper to Platinum Plugs anyone?

My owners manual call for the Champion LZFR5C-11 at 32k miles.
Did a search but can't find anyone who has gone to a platinum plug.
Read some where that you can damage your coils? Will these void my warranty? If anyone has done this switch I'd love to hear back.
Thanks.

^yes stick with the coppers. If you want to "upgrade" go to iridiums. The only benefit will be longer service life, and lighter wallet.

The local auto zone and o'reillys carry them here. I will be picking up a set next week.

My local Auto Zone didn't have the Number and There are no O'reilly's in my area so I ordered a set of 16 for $3.53 each plus 9 bucks shipping from Rock Auto. Not a bad price I think?
Did some reading that the copper core plugs have the least resistance and out perform Platinum or Iridium just don't last as long.
Thanks for all the feedback!
