Default Anyone else see this article?

Read this yesterday and here is the video. http://www.caranddriver.com/comparis...longhorn-video

Granted I'm biased with my longhorn and I really do like the Ford (almost bought a platinum) but last place... come on.

That Chevrolet is so ugly I don't care if it had an airplane engine in it I wouldn't drive it.

All depends on what article, vid, or advertisement you read or watch as they are all different.

Notice not once did they mention gear ratios, plus a lot of other info one needs to make a final judgement.

Imo, it was a GM sponsored ad or C&D receives a lot of money from GM as it seemed it was more of an advertisement for GM than anything else.

C&D is not in bed with GM.

Personally, I'm glad to see GM finally doing something with their trucks again. I have zero brand loyalty - consider it foolish - no brand has any loyalty to me - I've bought a lot of new Chrysler/Ram/Jeep products over they years and they still treat me like dog crap. I'm always glad to see any improvement from any manufacturer.

I too don't exhibit vehicle brand loyalty as many engage in, as it's a matter of what fits.

Dealership loyalty is a different story with me.

They switch around, they want advertising money from EVERYONE so one year its Ford, one year its GM, one year its Ram.

Its fun reading/watching those reviews, but a lot of it is subjective. 0-60 times can stil vary quite a bit and the manufactures do supply the occasional ringer to help with reviews. Since when is looking over the dashboard on a behemoth truck a bad thing lol.

Advertising is what pays the bills on these magazines and their staff. Your measly annual subscription is what fills their lunch room fridge on a weekly basis.

Subjective is the key word here.

Use magazines and online reviews as a guide; without being dependent entirely on them.
