Default headers

Is there anyone out there running the BBK headers. I just recently bought a pair and put them on my ram and I'm not so sure I'm happy with them. I don't see much of a difference performance wise and before I put them on my truck was really loud from the exhaust which is what I want but these headers have seemed to quite it down significantly. Anybody else have these problems. And what can I do to get my sound back?

Thanks for the help

The computer could be going nuts. I'd suggest resetting it by disconnecting the neg battery cable for about 10 mins or so. Then go drive it like you stole it for a couple days and see how she reacts. These computers are sensitive and also adapt to your driving habits/style.

Good luck and keep us updated!!

I agree with the sound being much quieter. I didnt expect it to be much louder but it is now barely louder than stock and I have the 14" maggy. Its ok with me, it was a little to loud before. It took about a week like every other mod I have done to this truck for the performance to kick in. Its mostly at highway speeds. Much easier to pass now, nothing really down low. I just gonna get 4.10 gears as all of the mods seem to add HP from 4k to 6k rpms so Im gonna get the gears to help the low end. Do you have a tuner, it really helps with the mods?

I have had BBk Headers for about 5,000 miles and my sound did not seem to change, I have a flowmaster 50 series. To be honest if you dont have a trinity get one ASAP and get a Hemi Fever tune and you will notice a big difference. Headers without a tuner is kinda pointless. I'm running the headers, exhaust, 87TB, CAI and 180 T stat and now its a beast!! Dont give up on the headers, they are a good investment ecspecially for the money!

I've recently had to change my battery out some ice had the hearts so it's been disconnected foot about an hour or so. And I've driven her hard and she gets up and goes better than before but she's just been toned down. The exhaust use to be extremely loud you could hear her a ways away but not anymore. The sound is better quality now but just not as loud as a like it to be.

Ya I know I need to get the trinity and I've been wanting to get it but I always seem to find a different mod that wanna do and I do it and the trinity gets put on the back burner.

Ya I've been wanting to redo my exhaust but I do believe removing mufflers is illegal where I'm at. I've been thinking on either doing an x-pipe or an h-pipe.
