Default GM Sales Plummet 11% In Sept- Begins Prayer Vigil For A Better Year

Looks like the public isn't buying into the new and improved Government Motors vehicles.

(NYSE: GM) dealers delivered 187,195 vehicles in the United States in September, down 11 percent compared year over year. Retail sales were down 6 percent versus a year ago and fleet sales were down 27 percent. Retail sales were up 2 percent on a selling day-adjusted basis.
“We held our own when it comes to retail market share this month thanks to strong new products, including the Chevrolet Impala, Buick Encore, GMC Sierra and the Cadillac ATS and XTS,” said Kurt McNeil, vice president, U.S. sales operations.

-----------
September 2013 U.S. Sales Highlights of Ram Truck Brand

And the propaganda intensifies, because over on the YayWhoo page they're talking about how GM can't make enough trucks to keep up with demand.

I'm really not surprised at this, either. I've said this before... The newer Chevy trucks have to be some of the ugliest vehicles ever made, IMO.

You can say that again! I used to like GM's (could never afford one decked out like my Ram) but those trucks fell outta the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down!

That just sounds like a bad dealer.

Overall demand is one thing, but a person sitting in the dealership wanting to buy is the biggest demand around!

I still have a weak spot for the older chevy's. These newer ones.. eh. We shall see.

They still don't compare because Chevrolet can't compete with Ram on interior luxury. The GMC side of the house tries to with the Denali. They still have a way to go.

I totally agree. I have seen better looking vehicles at a Boy Scout Pinewood derby. I think Chevy's trucks were inspired by a brick. I guess that is one step up from "like a rock".
