Default Detailed my Longhorn with some great products...They were awesome...Paint looks like glass....

If your looking for advice or products, please PM Primospaghetti.....

Well, I spent the day detailing my truck and I have to thank the resident expert Primospaghetti for all of his assistance...I purchased the following items....

First off I used IronX and washed my vehicle. The IronX is designed to remove what lies below the paint surface as well as above. IronX opens up the paint's pores to release ferrous particles and to neutralize caustic compounds that have developed in the paint's subsurface. Airborne chemical compounds and ferrous particles (particles containing iron) actually penetrate the paint and create corrosive compounds that eat deep into the paint's sub-layers or paint’s pin-holes.

I then had the opportunity to use a Nanoskin Auto Scrub Towel Fine Grade.
The Nanoskin Autoscrub Towel can replace the need for a clay bar by easily and safely removing surface contamination. This new process is much quicker than using the traditional clay bar and you will get the same great clean surface upon completion. When using the Towel you will be amazed at how fast the advanced rubber polymers safely separate and remove contaminants bonded to the vehicle exterior. Your paint will be exceptionally clean and you can effectively now apply a polish, glaze, sealant or wax afterwards.

With the Towel I used the Nanoskin Glide Lubricant.
Nanoskin Glide lubricates the paint so well for gliding back and forth. GLIDE removes contaminants, dust, fingerprints, bugs and more restoring the brilliance of a showroom finish.

For anyone using this product you need to make sure that you know that sufficient lubrication is crucial to the AUTOSCRUB application. Plain water is not an adequate lubricant. Its simple just following the directions and ratios.

For anyone that has used clay you know how time consuming it really is.... I know this as well, and after speaking to the Primo I purchased these items.

The Nanoskin and glide is very easy to use and I cannot get over the results that I ended up with..I did each panel at a time. These are great products.

I then used a wax that I did a ton of research on. I ordered BOUNCER'S Capture the Rapture Wax. First of all let me say that it is expensive but worth every penny....Second I had the permission from the wife to purchase which helps....LOL....This wax is awesome.....

This particular wax is blended using only the finest grade T1 Carnauba with specialist glossing & passion fruit oils, it develops a shimmering wet look and intensive depth across the angles of your vehicle. This does not smear or hologram. Great stuff to work with ans what a shine....I am still smiling....It looks really good....The only downfall is that this wax cost approximately $88 dollars and only last about 4 weeks before a new application is required. With that said this is one of the nicest waxes that I have used in a long long time...JMO......

Sorry for the long post but I thought I would share my experience....I will include a few pics of the truck as well...Thanks again Primospaghetti....

Great write up/review Chunkem and your truck looks great.

I too purchased some products off of Primo but unfortunately I haven't had much spare time to use many of them yet!

Curious, as I too purchased some Iron X, do you use it on your whole truck or just certain parts such as your wheels bumpers?

If your whole truck, did you notice much bleeding coming from it after the Iron X was applied?

I am wanting to do mine as well but unfortunately I applied some Collinite 845 insulator wax shortly after I picked my truck up back in June so I am in no hurry to strip that off just yet.

Thanks for the review on Nano, I never heard of that before but I also have Clay which I have never used either.

The Nano way sounds much easier, but like I told Jeff, I had better use up some of my old products first or I'll be running out of room in my garage!
