Default 3rd gen speaker replacements?

I have the Infinity 7 speaker system with navigation and I'm wanting to replace/upgrade all 4 door speakers. The driver front door and passenger rear door do not work at all. The passenger front door works but pops if you crank up the volume. The only one that does work is the drivers rear door.

I've searched all over and have found different brands and sizes that the makers claim fit and are direct bolt in and some that say "fit with minor modifications". I'm not wanting to carve up the doors, panels or build any brackets to make something work. I just want a good quality speaker that has good sound and does not need remodeling the panels or stock openings to fit. Price is really not a problem as long as they fit and sound good.

I'm trying to think back to when I had my '08. I'm sure if you did some sort of search here at the Forumz you'll easily find the correct sizes, as well as suggested for speakers.

I believe that the front speakers are "shallow mount" 6 X 9s and there are too many choices to list. Dependent upon where you look the rear speakers are either 5.25" or 6.5".

I'd head down to someplace like Best Buy where you can listen to what various speakers sound like, or even to a high end stereo shop, then once you find what you like order 'em online.

As far as removing the door panels on your truck, the 3rd gens are real easy. It only take one or two screws and they pretty much just lift right off. This will allow you easy access to your speakers, and you can get a better understanding of what you'll need.

Good luck

Exco

If you go here you can search by your vehicle and year to see what fits. Than Google search for the best price.
