Today, I searched for ......braided brake lines! Would you believe they were almost impossible to find for the Dodge Rams too! Is there an industry coalition to isolate Ram owners? It is almost funny that so few brake parts are available for Ram. Oh yes, there are lots of brake pads, but that's as far as it goes. Lots for Chevy and GMC, far less for Ford, and virtually nothing for Ram.
I finally found an outfit that makes very high quality braided S.S. brake lines. I'm all set to deal with future causality now.

I found them at JTSVP and they'll fit 3rd gens, don't know if they'll fit 4th gens. Might be worth taking a look.

What about this?

http://www.modernmuscleperformance.c...u_p/a158-5.htm

Looking at the SSBC website you can get 14inch front brakes then replace the rear Caliper Set

At least for 2012s:

I have had my semi "big brake kit" now for three weeks. I have Power Stop slotted and cross drilled ventilated rotors with ceramic brake pads. These rotors are far more advanced than the plain factory pancake rotors. They offer much more ventilation than the stock rotors. The pads are superior to the expensive factory pads.

Under normal unloaded conditions, the stock brakes work. But under challenging conditions, these improved brake components perform at an increased level with no perceptible fade.

SSBC makes two kits, a 6 piston that ususally will not clear stock wheels and a 3 piston front kit that does clear stock wheels, both with 14" rotors. They also have upgrades for the rear rotors and pads. The tech I spoke to said the kits work for 2012+ and that the 3 piston kit actually brakes better than the 6 piston set-up, he said they plan to discontinue the 6 piston in the near future. Not sure why Wilwood or Baer do not make a kit, although I am sure they would be $$

Boy howdy, at almost 4 grand it better make the Ram stop like a Viper. I like the two kits offered by SSBC because they are reasonably priced for the average guy to do the upgrade. 4 grand gets into highend builds, and no doubt Baer are worth the coin and have quality to match, but too rich for my blood.

my 1999 ram 1500 has the rear 11.2 regular brake shoe brakes with the fronts being disk's
there is a company that makes a complete rear disk kit with stainless steel brake lines.
the kit is just over $2,100 complete.
a little to rich for me right now,but at least i know there is an option for me sometime in the future.
