Exclamation fuel economy ????

hey there still new to the forum I wanted to ask a very serious question but first my story about the truck..ok when I bought my truck it would get great mpg it would go to dallas from Waco tx with quarter of a tank witch would be around 25 to 30 bucks and now it takes a quarter tank to drive 30 miles and about 40 bucks I know there is something wrong just don't know what I really need help here plz I want to know if there is a fuel pump,injectors,throttlebody something to help me get better gas mileage really need the help plz

Has it thrown any codes? It really sounds like an 02 or some other sensor is telling the puter to dump fuel in to cylinders, hence the crappy mileage. Either that or you have one heluva drag on something.

Would it have bad mpg if it doesn't have a converter?

If not having a converter coincides with the bad gas mileage, then I would say yes. How/why do you not have a converter? I'm guessing you have plug foulers on your aft 02 sensors then. Am I wrong?
