Default Should I trade?!

I have a 2011 white ram sport quad cab loaded 30,000kms. I want to haul and tow more then this truck is capable but can't justify buying a brand new 3500 diesel.
My local dodge dealer just got in a 2007 3500 srw sport quad cab 5.9 cummins 6 speed with 80,000kms in mint shape and all stock except for levelling kit.

They are asking $32k and they are willing to give me almost the same for my truck. So basically a straight swap.

Would you do it? Older and more Kms but diesel and 1ton. And able to tow a oat while hauling a slide in camper or sled deck which is what I'm after

I was told that it was the 2007.5 and up with the 6.7 that had all the emissions stuff on them. I could just throw a tuner and exhaust on it anyways to bypass dpf anyways, no?

I could be mistaken. Just double check before you buy.

I'd have to say yes. Just have it checked over thoroughly by someone you trust.

research the early years of the 6.7. lots of soot, turbo and making oil problems along with a lot of recall flashes. some years even require a turbo cleaning. make sure you do all your research.

The truck is the last of the 5.9L. Not the 6.7. That's why I'm interested

Phildo........ Just wanted to tell you that my Pops still drives his 99 Cummins 3/4 ton daily and still averages 18mpg all day, any day. Original owner with over 300,000 miles earned and other than the infamous cracked dash, it still runs like a top.
