Default water behind dash somewhere

This morning after heavy rain, I got into my truck and heard a sound of sloshing water somewhere under the windshield in front of me.
I bounced around and heard it sloshing but there was no water leak inside the cab.
I was parked on a slight uphill. I started the truck and moved back slightly then braked a few times and the noise got les and less. By the time I got about a mile down the road it had all gone.
I checked all fluids in the engine bay were correct and no signof any leaks anywhere.
My only thought was water drains blocked in the air intake vents in front of the windshield.
Are there drains there that could be blocked and if so where are they please?
Thanks
Paul

are you sure it wasn't water sloshing around in the bed and you thought the sound was coming from the windshield.

No, the bed is covered and it was certainly in the front. I just went out and ran the hose over the air vent intake at the base of the windshield and got the same sound so its in there.
There must be a drain blocked but where is it.

Water will pool in the cowl area just outside the window (though it does sound as if it is inside) during a rain. If it does its cause your drains are plugged. Just run a light wire or long pipe cleaner down them. They are on the cowl (plastic piece under windshield wiper) to either side....small hole.

I will check out this morning and run the hose through when I have done it to make sure.
Thanks for all the help and advice - this is a great forum.
