Default My new Ram 1500 Hemi, now gotta fix it up

Hi guys. I recently sold a massive lifted 97 318 ram and went for more power and less isses. So basicly that ment get a hemi since I didnt want a cummins sitting around since its just a 2nd ride.

My truck came with 33's 275/60R20's but they are all over with place with tread and 2 are ar wear bars, not that i care since I need new tires anyway.

I was wondering if anyone knows how much height differenace is between a 1500 3rd gen and a 2500 3rd gen?

I am not really looking to put a lift kit on my truck, nor go larger then 33's, however Id like to buy some 305/55r20's i found locals for a deal that are new. thats a 33 also just 12" wide.

Attached is a pic of a black 2500 with some offet and factory height with 33s is what id like to get to if i can. i dont know what factory 20's offset is but Id like to no use fender flares since I hate them.

Just wondering if anyone knows factory offset or has some pics of 1500s not really lifted or body lifted 1 inch.

factory offset is +19mm. With a 12" wide tire..you might rub a bit. I know for 12.5" wide you need a level AND offset wheel or 1/4" spacer to make it fit.

I think you'd be good with that, if you rub some it might be at full lock, easy to avoid, or trim it up, or get some spacers.

thank you. Are spacers safe on somthing this heavy? typical in the atv and 3wheeler world we do not use them due to things bending like the studs.

Is there a place on this forum where centern gen models have pictures of modded trucks? I am not really finding anything I am looking for buy everyone with 4th gens and thats nothing I am interested in.

if you run spacers make sure they are good high quality steel not white metal that will crack and fall apart. i think the stock 2500 is a few inches higher than the 1500. maybe someone else can confirm.

Ive ran 305/55/20 on an 02 1500 QC and they work fine. But they will stick out of the fender alittle about like you show in the pics. This was with the stock Daisy wheels.:smiley _thumbs_up:

I found a nice set of micky thompson atz locally for super cheap which are new and about half the price new for all 4 tires. If that fit fine ill throw them on my stock 20's and find a set of different rims later. I need to get a rust spot fixed and get on rubber undercoating every part of the truck that could rust from (out of sight out of mine syndrome) anyone have pics of 305/55r20s on stock rims as a visual? I hope nothing would really rub with factory offset.
