Question Adding Factory Towing Mirrors

I'm interested in adding the Mopar Chrome flip out towing mirrors with the signals and puddle lights to my 2010 Ram Big Horn. My current mirrors are the black non towing mirrors but they have the signals and puddle lights in them. If I add these towing mirrors to my truck will those features still work or am I getting into a re-flash nightmare?

I see some other threads of guys having to get the dealer to call Dodge and have the proper code added to the VIN to make the lights work on their truck. But, I'm not sure if I'm in that situation seeing I have those features already on my stock mirrors.

Thanks for any assistance.

You'll be fine. I did the same swap before. Works fine. If you have puddle and turn lights on non tow mirrors you'll have em working on equipped tows

Ok thanks. That is sort of what I was thinking but you never know with all the new electronics, they like to make things difficult.

I added these mirrors over the weekend and everything worked great. All the features were still fully functional.

I just came in from the garage after installing a set of used tow mirrors I picked up on EBAY and sure enough the lights and turn signals work perfectly as do the mirrors.

I did this last weekend too. Got a new set from E-Bay for $256.00 shipped. One thing I forgot to check was if they had the auto dim function. Complely forgot, everything else works though.

Where did you all get yours from? I have the blinkers and defroster in mine with outside lights(or whatever they call them).

Thanks in advance

You sound like yours came with the same mirrors mine did and everything worked great on the new mirrors.

Mine came from here. http://www.mopar-wholesale.com/mopar-specials.html then select "Ram Trailer Mirrors" over at the left side. I put the chrome mirrors on mine.
