Thank you Sir!! I'm tempted to call Ram CS to see if they can find anything... The last few reps stated it would definitely show up in Vin Vision once it got to D1 status.

I have a feeling THIS is going to be a VERY interesting week...for alot of folks...if the thing shows up, Im gonna have that "incentives" discussion with the dealer...as an FYI, and FWIW, the phone number to the CHRYSLER INCENTIVES ASSISTANCE CENTER is 1-800- 227-0757....a/o last FRI, they "knew nothingggg, nothinggggg"....(my apologies to Sgt Shultz).....

So SPP tells me I'm D1 status now... That's great, but now I'm a bit confused..

When my order went D status, I got an email stating production was scheduled. With the order in D1, I just got another email stating production is scheduled.... Why send 2 emails that are basically the same?

VOTS should do this....

1. Send email they received the order - BA Status.
1a. If order goes BE status, email should be sent to customer to contact dealer
about correcting the order.
2. Send email when it passes edit to let customer know it's available for scheduling. BX Status.
3. Send email when it actually scheduled, with an estimated build date. - D1 status
3a. Send email when it goes to frame.
3b. Send email when build is completed w/ note stating whether it's going to a body
vendor or not.
4. Send email with estimated ship date.
5. Send email with when it actually ships with a note stating Thank You from the
factory and please contact your dealer for estimated arrival times or any questions.

well...apparently this has been going on for quite some time, as eyeballing other complaints has shown...i wish i had kept a diary, and taped some of the responses...yes, a consumer group COULD make some cogent suggestions to eliminate the problem...but i think the problem is clearly a willingness, or more precisely a non-willingness to fix it....i find it difficult to believe the "powers that be" are unaware just how counterproductive this thang is.....its just waaay too low on the todo list....

Right now, Its...

C - We've passed all the typical major ordering hurdles.
D1 - Unless something really weird happens, it's a go.
E - It's going.
KZ? - It's gone.

Anything else needs to be researched and figured out (that D/D1 thing definitely needs a investigation).

From what I've gathered, these were distilled out of the tons of stages possible (the list here is complete from a consumer point of view). C means it's passed all the ordering hurdles. D1 means we know when it should be built. E means it's being built, KZ(something) mean's it's left the plant. Knowing what I know, I would probably add a "Hi, Welcome to VOTS email!" acknowledging we've got your email and "It's arrived at your dealer." email. Add in a dash of more up to date data (and wording changes) and the system should work for 99% of the population.

What you guys have experienced is more the exception than the rule. Other cars that have I look at are about as straight forward as one would expect. order, schedule, build, ship. The MY changeovers do cause some hiccups (exhibit A: orders not going through, exhibit B: trucks being called a different trim level).

With all that said, your words aren't going into a black hole. I do appreciate the feedback and it will help.

And dont for a minute think I (we) dont appreciate your "presence"..and all joking aside, you have enough public posts from a variety of people to have a cross section of the "exceptions"...and, bear in mind, "we" probably represent a reasonable cross section, even tho we post in here..(hah!)..If someone were to ask me for a signed detailed explanation of the "hiccups" i would be more than happy to comply...without any insults either....
