Default 1500 vs 2500 motor mounts

I am planning on doing an engine swap. I figure id change the mounts while I'm at it.

Locally, the cheapest mounts are 200 bucks a piece (which I think is ridiculous). Online at summit I see engine mounts left and right for 1500. Rock auto has them at 50 bucks for a 2500, ANCHOR 3254 fits left and right. Doesn't specify if it includes both sides.

Are the mounts on both sides identical? Or totally separate mounts?

Would 1500 mounts work just as good as 2500 mounts? They both carried 5.7 v8, I don't understand why there would be a difference.

Uh maybe.......the 2500 has a live front axle so I doubt it will be the same as a 1500.

It would be a good idea to call your dealership Parts Dept & ask them if the 1500 & 2500 5.7L motor mounts have the same part numbers
Give them your phone number to call you back if they happen to be busy with walk in customers

Yeah the 1500s have entirely different frames from the 2500s, especially up front where the engine mounts since the 1500s have IFS and the 2500s have a live axle. IIRC the diff bracket on the 1500s is mounted to the port side engine mount too.

Yes, it's very strange now the engine is mounted in the 3rd gen 1500s. It's almost like it is mounted to the axle then that is mounted to the frame but at the same time everything is solid mounted to the frame.....idk how to describe it.
