i have a 2007 dodge ram 2500 with the 4.7
it starts but after it starts it will act liek its running out of gas in a few seconds then dies.(but its starts everytime)
its been in the shop it had the throttle body replaced coil packs computer and fuel pump replaced and more things.
but i just bought the truck for 1500.00 cause its in mint besides this problem.
i can spray starting fluild in it after i start it and it will stay running as long as i spray it. i know its a fuel problem but i dont know much about dodges. is there some other things that can cause this? any help i will be very thankful

When they replaced the fuel pump, did they replace the entire module or just the pump? It's sounding like you've got a fuel pressure issue which would be either a faulty new pump, clogged filter or bad regulator.

Look into hooking a fuel pump pressure gauge to the rail and monitor pressure with key on....starting and running. Also would be wise to get voltage reading at fuel pump at key on, starting and cranking.

You may also want to verify spark just to be sure. Compression would also be something to have to take that variable out too.

Also do you hear the fuel pump relay click on.

Ok...I'm still back on the part where you have a 4.7 in a 2500. Do you have a 4.7 in a 1500 or a 5.7 in a 2500?

Yeah, I saw that too, but didn't want to second guess the OP.
