Default Will be fueling up in the States more often.....

So I was in the states on the weekend and thought I'd fill the girl up and save a few bucks...When I got home I filled up again and did a comparison and all I gotta say is I WILL BE FILLING UP IN THE STATES MORE OFTEN. The basic break down is in Canada I paid $ 0.32 /L more than in the States. Five litres less fuel to fill up at home and it cost me $12 more. Just wanted to share this.

Have a good one.

That's like me in Mexico, I am 4 miles north of the border, and my old truck doesn't mind the crap gas they have. I save about 20-40 cents per gallon, it's 11 pesos per liter, which is just under a dollar...

.32/L is $1.21 per gallon that is saved. Where I am we are currently paying $1.329 per litre which is $5.05 a gallon

Yup, filling up in the States is definitely the way to go if you live close to the border. I literally live right on the border so I fill up down there every time. With the amount of driving I do it saves me around $1500 a year getting fuel down there rather than in Canada.

holy moley donut shop. I got it made down here.

Gas is $3.33/gallon US dollars obviously. there is a 50/50 chance if you go like 20 min south on this one main rd, the gas stations have it for 25 cents cheaper sometimes. I've seen in at $2.99/gallon a few times (for 87).

The further south you go, the cheaper it tends to get. NC, SC, Georgia, have it cheap (off the interstate, right off the highway they rob you)

Wow! That's ridiculous! I wish fuel was that cheap here.

In Sumas, WA where I fill up it's still hovering around $4.00/gallon. Sometimes a little higher, sometimes a littler lower. But near Vancouver, BC it's around $1.40 a liter right now which works out to about $5.30/gallon. It's absolutely ridiculous how much of an increase it is....

yeah it is between 3.25 and 3.30 a gallon here for E-10 87 oct. pure gas 87 oct is running about .20 higher per gallon, so i'm paying 3.45-3.50 a gallon to fill up a 32 gallon tank. good thing work pays for it, otherwise i would be getting the cheap stuff and not filling up!

It is funny I hear people paying $1.50 a gallon cheaper then we are up here and complaining lol. I only get 12.5 MPG at $5.05 a gallon and that is the cheap stuff. Last fill was $121.00

I hear ya....I generally fill up weekly for about 80-90 bucks for 1/2 to 2/3 of a tank, (that's @ $1.379/L).

5.05 per US gallon, it would be just a hair under 6 bucks on our gallon, its no secret that gas is much cheaper down there, it can turn inti a political debate that I dont want to start, I have heard on the local news that many people from Sault ste Marie, Ontario cross the bridge everyday (paying tolls) to gas up in Sault ste Marire Michigan and are still saving upwards of 10 bucks after they have paid the tolls. Unfortubatley for me the closest border is the Sault which is 3 hours lol
