Yes, the power folding mirrors can be folded without damage. The carwash guys are usually a little too quick to fold them in before I can hit the power fold button. No damage has been caused, cycle the button a couple of times and they are back to normal.

Thanks guys. I saw that in the manual, but my buddy's BMW (the only vehicle other than my truck that I have experience with that also has power fold mirrors) has gone through 3 power fold mirrors from people folding them in manually. Good to know that I don't have to worry about it.

Thanks a lot SwampWolf!

Thanks for the answer to my question, Geodasher and Explorer Rob. I don't have my truck yet, let alone the manual, so I was just wondering ahead of time.

I just bought a 2014 2500 with tow mirrors...the window stick says power folding mirrors, but the dealership says that the tow mirrors do not have the power option, is this true?

That's true. Your sticker probably shows power folding as part of the trim level or a package you purchased, then elsewhere it probably shows the tow mirror option in another package or as an add on item. You don't really have the power folding mirrors because they were replaced by the tow mirror package/option. Unfortunately, the tow mirrors do not power fold.

I have the tow mirrors and they are good for me and my Sport. The other Sport I was looking at had the sport mirrors but no LSD so I picked tow mirrors Sport to get the LSD. Both are well IMO. Actually more mirror to help me see!
