Default did they redesign access to the blend door?

Maybe there has been a recall I don't know about...but if not...my 2010 1500 regular cab seems to have a broken blend door. I watched several youtube vids that showed taking down the blower motor and reaching up to access the door, then pulling it out the same way. I dropped the fan and wow! it didn't match what I saw on the tube. Anyone know a fix rather than taking it to the dealer and having the entire dash removed?

Default

is it the blend door or the actuators, I replaced my actuators as they weren't working properly, easy to replace and parts aren't very expensive. Do you have a clicking sound when you switch the modes on the ac?
