Drive it like you stole it! Get past the intitial high friction break in period to obtain best MPG. Use Marvel Mystery Oil in the fuel for best results. That's a fact.

Just got back from holidays. Started with 5600 miles ended with 7500 miles and I averaged 17.8 mpg. Didn't baby her and that included city, highway, load and no load. Very happy with that.

First Tank of Gas (87) I got 15.4 @500 miles. Second tank in now and I am about 14.4 so far. I hope this 4X4 with auto grill/air suspension/wheel to wheel add-ons gets better mpg soon.

Default Gas Mileage

Can't say I've noticed any difference between brand new and now at 7600. But I do try my best to keep the eco-on burning. Some other things I do are: As I approach a red light with cars waiting, I let off on the gas pedal and often by the time I get there, traffic has started moving...a still rolling vehicle uses less gas than stop and start. Keep your windows up, using a/c is still cheaper than running with them down. Don't accelerate hard from stop, but get up into the highest usable gear as soon as possible. Btw, in pure city driving I get 17mpg and 20+ on pure interstate.

20 combined would be amazing. I get 15-16 combined and have been able to get 22 on the interstate.

I did reset one of my trips for a 100% downhill ride (~20 miles) and averaged 46mpg. If only I could get that going uphill...

My second tank was the best to date, with a EVIC calculated 19.1mpg. I didn't count the first tank at all, since I was busy seating the rings motoman style.

8k miles later I'm averaging mid 17's on a tank but have noticed that the EVIC numbers are always a bit higher than a straight average (miles travelled on tank divided by gallons to the same second "click" on a full tank) by just under 1mpg. I wonder what their algorithm uses for the calculation?

I am a bit lead-footed but find myself consciously (or subconsciously) pulling my foot back towards me a lot when I've got the real-time MPG displaying on the EVIC...it's like a game, trying to beat my last "high score"...

Now on my vacation, i avg ~18 iirc... i was loaded with a quad and a little bit of clothes ect...and it was windy. With no headwind on ghe way bad i see a solid 20mpg...crossing my fingers..

30 mile trip to work with cruise set at 55 I can get 20-21, anything over 65 mph and it's 17 at best! In town gets me 12-13....I'm right at 40,000 miles and it's been like that since day one. Even with an 8 speed a Hemi Ram would struggle to average 20 mpg's.

I have 3.92, 6 speed, QC, 2WD hemi. I drive about 70% highway. I am averaging around 17. I was hoping it would get 18 but I'll take it because I love the truck. I tried 2 tanks of 89 and I lost almost 1 mpg.
