just got my new ram sport with 15km on the odo stalled 10 times leaving the dealer had it towed in on the 3rd day been in the shop twice for a total of 4 days in the first 7 days of the trucks life. now 10 days old and stalls a dozen times a day only when truck is at stop light with brake on. CEL on P0870 code - first time in shop replace tranny pressure sensor an replace start/stop switch with no change still stalling - second time in shop clear CEL still stalling.

anyone have any ideas on this issue

or any input on CAMVAP

thanks in advance
Welcome to the forum...Sorry your having issues.... You can check this link out.

http://www.camvap.ca/

Good luck. I just recently went through another issue where I had my 13 Ram truck just replaced. You may want to speak to your dealer however have a look at the link...

CAMVAP has worked for many people however just be prepared that once the arbirtator makes their decision its final.

Good luck and please let us know how you make out.... By the way how many kms when it was taken in???

My advice....Speak to your dealer and see what they can do for you. I would leave the truck with them until it is fixed properly. Now that its back on the lot, leave it there until you resolve the issue. They should provide you with a truck similar to yours to drive while your waiting...

Ed

CAMVAP resolves issues between a consumer, and the manufacturer. Not issues a consumer has with a dealership.

Have you contacted Chrysler Canada yet? If not, that happens way before you contact CAMVAP.

CAMVAP comes into play when a dealership or manufacturer refuses to repair your truck. Or if a dealership tells you "stalling 10 times a day is normal, deal with it". I don't think that's going to happen. CAMVAP is for people who have exhausted ALL options, and has a dealer or manufacturer that is not willing to deal with them any longer.

My advice to you is to continue working with the dealer in getting this issue resolved. It's probably a simple sensor needing replaced, or tweaked.

CAMVAP isn't going to order a buy-back, because your truck has been in the shop 4 out of 7 days.

i hear ya mezerr, been at dealership twice, for sensor which they replaced, but i dont think theyre focusing on the issues just the trouble code..... but i am going again for the stalling and this time to speak with the service manager and i'll give them another couple times to fix it and then to chrysler and we'll see what comes of it.

truck is now 2 weeks old if they told me " stalling 10 times a day is normal, deal with it" it wouldnt be lie, i guess.

Good luck. Keep updating the thread and let us know how it works out.

If you end up going to CAMVAP, and have any questions, PM me. I have also gone through CAMVAP, just not ready to share my results / award yet. (Still pending)
