Default Starter issues

So I went to start my truck today and it turned over for half a second and didn't start. Proceeded to check the different fuses and see the 20amp starter solenoid was blown. Replaced and still no start just hear a single click. Tested volts on starter and battery getting around 12 v. Decide to try to bypass the plug at the starter to rule it out still only hear starter clicking. Replaced starter and still having the issue. Any help would be great. 1500 5.9l v8 2wd 2000

Having some tranny issues but can talk about that later.

Get a breaker bar with the correct size socket on your crank pulley and make sure your engine is not seized up.

A little extreme don't you think I've had zero mechanical failures and it was running 20 minutes prior

Maybe a bit extreme, but with you putting a new started on and still not cranking, it's a simple action to make sure.

Next I would check the battery. Maybe it just doesn't have enough umph to crank the starter over.

Turns out it was the starter and the terminals on the battery.
