Default 6.4 crank in a 5.7 block?

Hello friends I am looking to build a budget forged motor. I don't want to go all out as this will just be a boosted DD. I really want a 383 but was wondering if I could put together something a little better. I was thinking since the stock 6.4 crank is forged that maybe a good place to start and what displacement if any would this create?

Here is a site of the pistons I was looking at anybody have any experience with these?

An lastly since this isn't a racing motor is it even worth it to forge the entire motor if I am only planning on running 8-12 lb's of boost? I was thinking that maybe just replacing the pistons and rods would that work or No? Of course I don't want to be cheap but I don't want to over build. Along with this I was planning ported heads and a custom 268 cam (mix of the 266 and 270 comp cams) should be good for close to 530rwhp.

So any thoughts?

If you're only planning 12psi boost then you might want to just look at swapping the pistons as they're the weak point. The stock 5.7L crank isn't must of an issue at all as there are few failures with it. Connecting rods are a possibility but not a must. I don't know of any 6.4L crank swaps yet, but I do know that the 6.1L crank is forged and will bolt in, you just need to get one with a 58-tooth reluctor wheel as the stock one has 32 teeth. Manley makes a 58-tooth 6.1L crank OR you can swap reluctor wheels like mine.

Wiseco is a good piston.. Had them in my old motor.
Sold that motor and its still going strong.
