Default Guys who have leveling kits please step inside

I have a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 qc 4x4. I have been wanting to level it for some key buy buying torsion keys and new shocks. I have read threw some old post and I have mixed feelings about it now. It seems that some really start tearing things up with a level ( cv's,ball joints wearing out faster, steering rack issues and a horrible ride) so my question is it even worth it? I only want to lift the front 2". So you guys that have leveled trucks would you do it again and have you had issues with it?

I did mine three years ago. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. I've had it on the dealer rack for oil changes, brake inspections, and alignments. Not one tech ever mentioned seeing any wear on any parts. I look every now and then and everything is great. I have my Bilsteins at 2.8.

It's different for each truck. I got my '10 levelled in June this year, just ripped my second set of CV boots. No offroading.

Yeah don't want cv issues like that. 2" isn't worth it

I have the Bilstein 5100's set at 2.8 as well. I have a link going at the moment I think, but there is no way to tell if that was from the level or the high quality Hamilton streets

I thought setting the Bilstein's at 2.1" and not 2.8" without changing the rear would level the truck?

I can guarantee it is our damn streets. My moms suv has gone through a ton of suspension parts and a steering rack due to how rough the roads are. She only has bit over 100,000 on her 09 Acadia. Potholes enough to bust rims everywhere.

I have been running a 2" level with 35/12.50/17 M/T tires. Just under 190,000KM on my truck and only front end work I have done is the outer tie rod ends. Replaced a front wheel bearing too recently. I also drive my truck through some stupid shit, very often. I highly doubt me leveling the truck caused any problems, but more so the shitty roads we have here and the dumb crap I do with my truck, donuts in a field prob not the best thing
