Default HEMI gas mileage

I bought my '12 Crew Cab Big Horn, not looking for gas mileage. Its my truck and its what I really wanted, but, how about we compare actual gas mileage?

I'm running 3.92 rear gears, and I drive the truck in a slightly aggressive manner.

Around town, I get about 17 mpg and on a recent 600 mile trip, I got 17 mpg @ 76 mpg average speed.

The one thing I did notice about gas mileage on my trip, was one tank of gas was ethanol free and my mileage increased to 19 mpg for that tank?

LOVE MY TRUCK

that is about right on the non-ethanol vs E10, i see 2-3 mpg better on pure gas.

i have a '12 outdoorsman CC 4x4 with 3.92 and see about similar mileage depending on my loading. i have a topper and due to work my main highway running is often with 15 or so 11' long 3" round antennas strapped to the top. with those messing up the aerodynamics i usually see about 15 mpg, but on return trips with them off the truck i get 17-18 on e10 and 19-20 on pure gas, this is hand figured not going by the EVIC reading. before putting on the topper and the few hundred pounds of tools in it, i would routinely see 22 on highway.

ETA: my city driving is about 14 mpg. it is 4 miles from my house to work, with 4 stop signs and 2 stop lights. so i have a good bit of stop/go in town.

Well just this last fill up, my CC Hemi 4x4 w/3.55's on 33"ers got 16.8 on the EVIC, 15.3 hand calculated for city/hwy mix. And a recent trip of 100 miles at hwy speeds averaging 80-87mph gave me 17.8mpg. At 75mph, my average was showing 19.3mpg but headwind of 10-15mph was definite cause of that average. I normally average between 20-22mpg cruising at 72mph, flat terrain, slow to no wind against me. It goes to prove that not all lead foots are created equal and that all our Hemis can achieve good numbers when need be.
