Best I have seen with my 2012 Sport Hemi with Canopy on highway is 14.7 Liters per 100km or 19mpg canadian or 16mpg usa using 89 octane Chevron with 20 inch wheels and BFG A/T tires with 3.92 gears in back. 89 is the min you should put in a Hemi. Tried 87 and mileage got worse.

This is all based on the display I see on my dash - not real world with reciepts and filling up / comparing mileage etc (the way I should really do it)

Default MPG 2012 2500 4x4

My truck has 373 gears & averages 15.3 MPG combined 50/50 hwy/city .
Made a trip to Louisiana driving 65 MPH & averaged 19.1 hwy hand caluclated .
@ 7500 mile oil change switched to Pennzoil 5w20 synthetic & picked up another 1/2 MPG .
Was worried about the Hemi Knock switching to synthetic but no knock with the Pennzoil.
Bought my truck new on 2/19/2013 & now has 8800 miles with zero issues .
GEAUX HEMI
I Tried a couple of tanks of the 89 octane & didn't see enough improvement in gas mileage to justify the extra cost per gallon/ 87 octane

I think you will find it in the owners manual = 89 octane

I have never tried shell - just use chevron in mine. Best tank I got was on Petrocan gas (only in canada)

Well, my 'around town' driving mainly consists of a 23 mile trek to work, with few lights, very light traffic and open roads for the most part.

When I drive in heavy traffic in stop-n-go areas, my mileage drops to 15mpg.

When hand calculatiing my mileage on a dozen tanks of gas, I've noted that the computer tends to add about 1/2mpg to its calculations on a consistent basis....

Sounds about right, my EVIC has added up to 1.5 MPG at times. I think it's very "hopeful" sometimes.

Driving around town, I'm getting about 14-15 mpg. Highway driving this weekend was almost 20 mpg (87 octane fuel).
