Once you get into your door speakers, you start getting into a lot of money and hassle. The cheapest and easiest solution in the Mopar Kicker upgrade. This is the only drop-in solution. There aren't full-range signals in your doors (far from it). The front doors have low-mid range only. The rears have mid to high with treble boosted. Thus, you can't simply drop in a coax. You'll need a summing device and aftermarket amp in order to make your door speaker replacement worthwhile.

After your dash speakers, your next easiest upgrade is a real sub and amp. You don't need a full-range signal for that. Simply tap into the existing sub wires for input into an LOC.

I agree that separation improved a bit, but I am disappointed in the imaging. Vocals on most tracks are scattered with no solid anchoring. I might have to build a custom pod and mount them in the front corners to gain any semblance of proper imaging.

Having speakers aimed at the front windshield is rarely a good idea. My 3 dash speaker holes are vacant. I may put the center one back in for Navi voice and Uconnect. That's about all it was good for.

It would be hard for me to justify a sub upgrade to the wife. She keeps the bass turned down as it is.

I was thinking of approaching the door speakers, as if they were component speakers, and was going to put component woofers in there. I was also approaching the doors from my experience with 6.5s sounding cleaner than 6x9s.

I may look into the kicker upgrades.

I am also still looking into the best way to add an amp for the dash speakers.
