Ya I was happy to get that one delete done. I figured I had the intake off so I might as well do it. Gave me a chance to clean up the intake a turbo with some good cleaner as well before it got too oiled up. The only concern I have with it now is the pipe that I left open is directly on top of the turbo. So if any oil does accumulate in it and decide to drip out it's going to land on the turbo. It should be a bit better now because the rings will be sitting better so less fuel and soot will be getting past them. Ya for 10 bucks it is a steal.. They have deals go online for like 3 oil changes for $30 and he calls me and tells me to buy so I won't have to pay full. Plus he only lets his top mechanic work on my truck and my dads work trucks to make sure I never have issues.

Is there any chance you could plug the the tube that you had to leave open to prevent any possibility of dripping?

Nope, you wouldn't want to plug that one because then you wouldn't be allowing the crank case to breathe. If you don't let it breathe it will start pushing air and oil out the seals instead making even more of a mess.

Sick New truck! I like it. I am thinking of going with a 4" lift and wheels or trading in my 1500 for a 2500.... Ill have to wait for the price drop in a month.

I like your Bakflip looks good.

Sweet man! Can't go wrong either way. Just keep in mind if you're looking at trading it in for a new 2500 Cummins there aren't currently any ways to tune or delete them if you're into that side of modding.

I would highly suggest keep your eyes open for a 2010 or 2011 what ever year before the started with the liquid additive I'm sure there are some nice ones out there. then you can do all the mods you want and still have a good truck.

2013 is when they added the DEF system to the Cummins. So stick with 2012 or earlier and you're golden!



So I found out my overhead mount for my MiniMaxx has actually been sitting at the receiving company I use for a week and a half. The guys who sent it forgot to put my customer number beside my name so the receiving company didn't email me saying it was there. Too bad I didn't find out last night that it was there because I was down in the States yesterday to ship out a package Anyways, I'll be picking it up today after work and then maybe this week/weekend start to work on installing the MiniMaxx to just use it for gauge readouts right now.

I dive a yard mule at work and it has the DEF in the exhaust. Seems to me that it doesnt have the power of my old mule I had. But it does come with cold ac and heater, but who needs a heater in Texas. Also a cb, am/fm radio. makes the time go by faster.

Ill be looking for a 2010/2011 or a project 2nd generation.
