Hmmm....very interesting.

Many times, these are paid to be written a certain way as well.
I would not be surprised if that was the case

For comparison's sake Truck Trend's 8 speed equipped 1500 Sport did 0-60 in 6.9, though that was with 3.92 gears and not carrying as much weight. Still not as quick as the others that C&D tested but much more respectable.

Well I saw on motor trends test they got 6.9 seconds as well but that was with the 6 speed so I think if you got a good launch you could be down around 6.5 seconds with the eight speed

Regardless of what any of these consumers tests say, I know for certain what my eyes and wallet tell me. RAM forever

If I can't stand to look at the exterior it doesn't matter what the inside looks like. Chevy/GMC are just ugly and Ford is poised for a major update for 2015. I'd rather go by Motor Trend's conclusion and that is the Ram is simply the better truck. It has style and comfort and a Hemi.

What I find hilarious is a die hard ford guy at work last week said the new Rams have the nicest exteriors, then I met up with a buddy the other night who is die hard GM guy who had a look inside my truck and said, ya Rams have the nicest interiors, so I guess that means the competition is slowly coming together and realizing that Ram trucks are the nicest trucks on the road.

When I first got my 13 ram bighorn my buddy with a 2012 ford couldn't believe how much nicer and comfortable the rams new interior was over his ford. The ride is so much better on the ram than the ford also

I still think Ram is making a mistake with the gears. 3:92 should be standard 4:10's or even 4:56's optional. Anyway, I'll keep driving my old 05 with 3:92's. BTW, my nephew just bought a 2014 GMC and he's already having overheating problems.

I think they need to work on the TC as well. There is a reason why a Tundra spanks rams with 3.55 gears too

But I agree....3.92 should be the norm as I have local buddies who have 3.92 and were getting better MPG than when I was stock with 3.55 and have a bit more fun too

Default comparison

I have had 2 tundras an 09 ram crew and now a 12 express. My only gripe with the ram vs the tundra is the throttle response and torque management. The tundra jumps when you hit it! The ram is dummed down. What they need is a good tune. At some point I am going to get the hypertech set up. This should wake it up. The power is there.
