Default Ignition Switch wont turn

I have an 06 Ram Hemi MegaCab 2wd. juts today when i went to go to lunch, the ignition tumbler wont turn when i put the key in. I have removed the clamshell, sprayed inside with compressed air and WD-40, but no results. the key is worn, but i wouldnt consider it worn out.

Any suggestions? the AAA guy is on the way. anyone else have this issue?

AAA guy said that it is such a common problem that they keep spare ignitions in their vans. Ford and Chryslers have this issue

So, did the AAA dood replace it? Did you try wiggling the steering wheel to see if there was any pressure on the locks? And, if the AAA did replace it, I'm guessing isn't wasn't too difficult. There's another member having issues with the ACC's not turning off when he pulls the key out. I'm thinking it's a warn cylinder.

Sorry for the late response...
Yes, AAA replaced it. It was $120 and a half hour to do it. they redid the new tumbler to match the key I already have.
Yes, I tried wiggling and stepping on the brake harder and turning the wheel and jiggling the shift lever. I took the clamshell off and lubed the tumbler up as much as i could. Nothing worked.
It all works now. I even found that there was a plug at the top of the column that wasnt securely plugged in and that seems to have fixed the issues i was having with my multifunction switch (wiper and turn signals). the only issue i have now is that the dinger sometimes won't stop when i pull the key out. I usually need to re-insert the key and pull it back out for it to shut off.
