Default Confusing glasspacks on 5.2

Well on my 87 w150 I added true dual glasspacks with no cats coming out of factory manifolds. I had them on for about three days casually throwing some water in and on them and they barely got louder. I took them out and burnt the hell out of them with gas and lots of fire lol put them back on hoping to achieve that high rpm rapping you get when they're blown out but that's not the case. I know they won't sound exactly like a new tbi motor like my 94 360 with true dual glasspacks but I would at least think they would rap after burning for a good 20 minutes any help would be awesome

Gen1dak will become famous soon enough

Just a note, the '94 isn't a TBI, it's an MPI. The '88 and up pre-Magnum was TBI. The Magnums have a throttle body for air handling, with the injectors being elsewhere. The pre-Magnums have a throttle body injector for both air handling and fuel injectors.
Now, with the factory manifolds on your '87, you probably wouldn't get a satisfactory noise even with straight pipes. They are very restrictive at higher rpm's and soak up a lotta noise.
