If you noticed, it asked you for your ZIP Code
it also reads that certain options are not available in certain combinations, that is saying that no dealer in your area has that combination in their inventory

It has nothing to do with what you can order though the dealership or NADA GUIDE, etc. as a Custom/factory order
ignore the dealerships that you see on the page, just build your own

Heavy Duty trucks should all come with leaf springs, it is a WORK truck
not a car with a bed
???

Not sure what about it is a sham. It reflects what is on the dealer lots and what can be ordered (including some late availability stuff...). The options are all there. The zip code only comes into play when you go from the price tool to search inventory to try to find something that matches what you ocmfigured. Same data feeds dealer connect. Only difference I am aware of is they can order fleet stuff and the descriptions aren't 'marketing friendly'

I thought it was obvious the zip code was to check current inventory in the last steps. It's not surprising that most are "in transit" given when they started production.
It took me about two seconds to realize the link was for 3500 when the options made no sense to the 1500. A quick fix on the URL and it was good to go.
I noticed the colors are pretty limited, so I figured they just aren't showing late availability options.
The MSRPs are mostly the same as 2013, except for different combinations (trailer tow group- which seems to be a better deal now), or those things that are included as standard in MY14.

yes I believe all you had to do was change it to 2104 and 2500 code was 14 instead of 15. anywho... it still had rear suspension as leaf instead of coil which contradicts what has been published. Hope its is just a glitch since it is not "officially" posted.

Default Ordered a 2500 Laramie today

I ordered a 2500 Laramie 4x4 Diesel today. Have no clue to when it will get built. I was able to use some advice from others here and asked for $1,000 under FWP and was able to get it after some serious brow beating. :-)

Looking forward to the new coil-overs as my current 1500 rides like a dream with them, but too soft to handle my trailer. I am assuming the new coils are a lot beefier.

Train cars have coil springs. They're heavy duty.

Leaf springs are heavy, and have limits with respect to variable rates compared to coils.
No need to ride like a lumber wagon if it doesn't have to. Very few 2500's are loaded 100% of the time. I'd even argue lots of them are not even loaded 50% of the time.

So I have just determined that when I replace my little ranger in 10 months the tradesman model is what I will end up going with. That decision is based on the fact that I can afford vinyl and not leather... At least and be comfy money wise. Things I will not give up is the 6.4, that is the only real deal breaker for me... These big trucks get spendy quick.
