Default Just ordered an R/T tonight.

We finally got an order placed for an R/T. There are a few changes and improvements for the 2014 and all for the better to me. I have a sheet with all standard equipment on the R/T. Adjustable pedals are now standard, the ZF eight-speed is standard and a back up camera is standard. The good news is that because of the lower gears in the eight speed the rear axle is now 3.92:1 instead of 4.10:1. The towing equipment is now a tow group replacing the individual items. It ended up being only $701 over the identical 2013.

If i wasn't so lazy, i would post the pix that i have of a fully loaded 2014 R/T
the dealership here has at least 2 of them sitting on the lot & showroom floor
i also took pix of the window sticker
i did not slide under it to check the rear differential ratio

Default R/T gears

According to what i have the 3.92:1 is standard with the 2014 R/T. I think this change is due to the improvement of fuel mileage. It is also because the ZF transmission has a 4.71:1 low gear which takes care of the same needs. This could also by why a special torque converter is no longer needed.

so if it's got the 8 speed and 3.92s....does it have any other performance enhancements over a sport with the 8 speed and 3.92s?

Default Performance enhancements

There are no performance enhancements over a standard Sport other than a front stabilizer bar. I think the R/T is the best deal for the money because it comes with a lot of luxury and special items that would be extra or not available on other models. It works out perfectly for our needs. It has standard adjustable pedals now but I don't know if that is an R/T thing or everything. I only have the specs on the R/T. No brochure is available yet that I see. Performance can be improved with a cold air intake but more than 400 HP after that should work fine for me. This thing is equal or better in performance to a 413 Max Wedge even with a lot more weight. I have no idea when it will be delivered.
