Default Exhaust help!

Hey guys I'm wanting to redo my exhaust system but am running into some snags. First off I've seen that on the 2nd Gens at least, its dual pipes going into one then into one cat, muffler, and tail pipe. Now I've been looking at these so called universal cats from Magnaflow and was wondering if I could run two of these instead of one big cat and make a true dual 2.5 in exhaust without having any problems or codes being thrown. Anybody have any ideas or experience?

I ran a FlowMaster 3" cat back system on my '03 RAM Hemi and it made a noticeable difference. According to FlowMaster, it gives better performance than their 2 1/2" duel system. Check their website. Those guys do their homework.
