I was not going to say anything was not sure if that would help but since you tack weld the spacer to the truck and that solve the problem here goes

I did this to mine

I use to have a lifted Jeep before the Ram in clean house I ran into these spacer (Well Buddy Said it would be cool if your left over Jeep parts would fit the Ram )

The spacer it off a Jeep TJ rear coils

Note: these are the only spacer off a Jeep that are big enough in out side Diameter to fit the Ram rear coils

I was a little concerned about them braking loose but after dove hunting yesterday I'm pretty sure the tack welds are up to the task. Dry hard rutted up fields and didn't have a sound even over the hardest bumps. And your right. I can grind off the tack welds in a few minutes if needed.
