Default Removing HVAC box

Hey guys, so my 1999 dodge ram has been sitting in the drive way for about 8 hours now with the dash set off to the side, waiting to have the new heater core installed. Where I'm having trouble is removing the hvac box from the fire wall. I removed 3 bolts on the engine side, but can only find one of the interior side. (On the right, top side next to the door. Does anyone have any Idea where the others are?

Thanks in advance!

Did you get the one in the top center?

I can't remember right now but I think the nut has to come off from the inside and the post stays on the firewall. Even if you remove the outer nut it has to come off.

There should be four. One is behind your PCM. I just removed my box lastnight. 5 including the one on the inside by the door. My PCM came off with 3 long screws. Put it to the side and found the fourth nut from the engine bay side. Hope this helps.

Sorry my bad. 2 on the inside of the vehicle. 4 from the engine bay side. Yes warlock is correct the studs stay on the vehicle, the ones on the inside anyhow. the other 4 are attached to the heater box.

Hey LittleRed...looks like it was a group effort I remembered the one inside, top center, and you remembered the one behind the PCM on the firewall. That makes 2 that were holding it.

Thanks for the reminder behind the PCM

Haha thanks warlock! Definitely helps to have a couple different views. I pretty much did the same thing as him. Went to pull it out and just didn't feel right. Went back through my haines manual and found where they say about the one behind the PCM.
