Default any good Dodge Rams?

New to the site and spent hours reading about issues on Ram trucks of all years. Yesterday I bought a used 03- 2500, 5.7 Hemi, from a neighbor that has had it for 6 years and he just loved it.
Great looking, runs well, 70K miles. Cracks in dash that I now know are an issue. But wow, reading posts on the site, I'm beginning to think I made a huge mistake buying any Dodge Ram.
Are there any out there that don't have multiple issues? Wiring, engines, transmissions, interior trim, paint, is there anything that isn't bad?
Appreciate your thoughts....
Warren

Oh Warren, there are 1000 times more good stories than there are bad. You figure there are 50 thousand members here in the Z. Of those 50K, you've read probably 50 horror stories? That's 1/10th of 1%. OK, maybe it's a little more, but you get the idea. With hundreds of thousands of satisfied Ram owners out there, I'm thinking a Ram is the way to go. My 2005, although it has had some issues, it's a mechanical item. Things wear and tear and break. But overall, I'd do it again, because without a single hesitation, this has been the best truck I've ever owned.

I have to agree with RogerRamJet. I had a 99 dakota that turned me off to Dodge for a long time but in the past few years of my life i have owned alot of different vehicles. enough to know that every brand has their "Monday Built Vehicle". and Forums are the best place to post your moans and complaints. I have owned 2 4th gen rams the only reason i traded my old one was because i needed 4wd and the only reason i went back to Ram for a 4wd was because i loved my other one so much. This is the first vehicle i can see owning for a lifetime.

Think about the perspective Warren.

Many people come to the fourmZ because they're having some sort of issue, other come because they wish to begin modding, and they want to know what's out there. Then there are those who just want to brag and boast about their great truck.

You'll find all of the above here, and as it's been stated already, anything that is mechanical will eventually break, wear out, or otherwise malfunction.

I've had my '10 Crew Cab for almost 3.5 years, and the only true issue that I've had is the AC blend door failed. It was fixed under warranty and I have had no issues since.

Ok you win. Your Ram is a hunk a junk so hurry and get rid of it! My Ram on the other hand is the best riding and running truck I've ever owned. And I've owned a 96 and a 99 Magnum. Quit going off of what your Furd, Yota, Gubment Motors, or Titan buddies are tellin ya and just gain the knowledge and experience for yourself of actually owning a Ram.

You need to consider the fact that on forums like this people dont come on and write "my truck was flawless today" people come on and ask questions about problems they encounter over time, and with over 50k members on here there are going to be alot of those types of questions flaoting around which makes it seem like Ram trucks are junk. Every forum for every brand and model is the same way, no manufacturer is perfect.

My 2004 ram 1500 was bought brand new by my father in 2004, he never had 1 single issue with it (I am not exaderating, there wasnt 1 issue) I bought it from him 2 years ago and never had 1 single issue either, it was an amazing truck, probably built on a wednesday. There are lots of good trucks out there, you bought the first year for a model change on a 2500 and first year for a hemi, you know what they say about buying model year change vehicles.

True story my man, all vehicle manufacturers make bad vehicles sometimes. Its bound to happen. But if you look at the percentage is only like 1%. Anyway that 03 you bought is still running strong am I right?
