I have the v6 8speed in a crwcb slt 4x4 I tow a enclosed 6x10 that when loaded must weigh closer to 4000. Coming from a 6 cyl 2003 dakota the truck feels like angry badger. My milage fell to 16 on the highway at 65 I didn't find it shifting more than it should of in the hills. The ride was smooth as well. I know my trailer was over loaded before the new axle and wheels and it shook the hell out of the trailer and truck.

I plan to buy a v6 8 speed outdoorsman 3.55 I tow 4k a lot. I hope that it wouldn't be too much for short trips of a few miles or less? I used to have f150 with a 4.9 13 years ago and that did just fine. I figure this should work fine too but I would hate to go and buy this truck and only be able to commute with it like a car. I race motocross so it would be used to go to the track with 2 bikes in the bed, but I really would like to not worry about towing with it. I want the v6 for mileage, I have other lifted trucks that are horrible on fuel and hard to use the beds since they are jacked up. maybe I am jumping the gun and should wait till I can find a eco diesel outdoorsman???? decisions decisions.
